Enjoy the beautiful Slovenia - 8 days from 1199€

Wine tasting with the stunning views of the terraced vineyards in eastern Slovenia. Visit the oldest Slovenian town of Ptuj on the Drava River. Arrival at the farmhouse, nestled among hills, bucolic farms and vineyards. Dinner and tastings of farm-owner's award winning wines (including the French inspired Šipon white wine) and their very own cognac. 

Breakfast. Visit a local beekeeper for honey tasting and learn the importance of this trade in the history of Slovenia. Visit the mill where they make pumpkin seed oil, the quintessential taste of this region. Tastings of bograc (a Slovenian dish which is a more spicier version of goulash) and local white wines, before visiting a chocolatier's shop with tastings of unique flavor combinations. Dinner at the farm.

Breakfast. Visit to the charming capital, Ljubljana, filled with baroque treasures, a riverside market and a thriving arts and culinary scene. Lunch in Ljubljana followed by a tasting of craft beers and liqueurs. Arrival at a rustic farm in the Karst region, famous for its Teran wine, air-dried prosciutto and numerous caves. The specialty of the house is the steak with prosciutto (Kraški pršut) in a red wine sauce. Just make sure to save room for the family’s impossible-to-say-no-to homemade honey ice-cream!

Breakfast. Visit the beautiful karst town of Stanjel. Tour the town and visit a local family with tasting of local prosciutto and mortadella where they will tell you the story of their classic meat slicer. Join the adjacent valley of Vipava known for the strong wind that blows there and its two unique wines: Zelena and Pinela. History of wine making and wine tasting in the historic village. Then, tasting more wines at the House of Pinots (Black Pinot and Grey Pinot). Return to the farm and eat dinner.

Breakfast. Visit the fascinating underground world of the Skocjan caves. This UNESCO-protected cave features the world's largest underground canyon. Stop in the village on the way to the coast, to see the 12th century church covered with Macabre Dance frescoes. Visit "Slow Food guru", explore its garden of Mediterranean herbs and enjoy local product tastings such as herbal salts, cheese and wine jellies. Visit the beautiful seaside town of Piran before returning to the farm. Have dinner.

Breakfast. Scenic drive heading into the emerald green Soca Valley. Visit a significant World War I museum in the area before a beautiful nature walk to the waterfall. Meet with the cheese producers in the mountain villages, admire their traditions and taste their products. Dine in the most picturesque wine region of Slovenia, Brda, with local wines (Rebula & Tokaj).

Breakfast. Local olive oil tasting in its very place of production as well as other local product tastings such as cherries (liqueurs, jams and dried fruit).As an option you can enjoy a delicious five-course meal accompanied by local wines (about three hour duration) in a cellar that is in the list of the 100 best wineries in the world designated by "Wine and Spirits Magazine". Visit the pretty fortified village of Smartno and go to a magnificent viewpoint for the panoramas of the wine-growing region. Tasting of macerated wines and fresh wines in a small village nearby. Dinner at the farm.
